Homemade Gifts

This is my attempt at making a page with links to homemade gift ideas.

Homemade gifts are often more meaningful (than store-bought stuff), because they combine effort, thought, and love, and can be personalized for the recipient, making them a truly special way to show someone you care. (More reasons whys why they’re often better down at the bottom.)

Specific Projects I Recommend

Most of these I’ve tried.

  • Make Thank You notes. Everyone needs them. Personalize it with a rubber stamp. Emboss if you want. Use Washi Tape if you want.

Specific Projects I’d Like to Try

  • Endless card – paperfolding. Could have pictures, stickers, gel pens, etc. Tip:  The finished card will have 4 “faces.” Each face will be made up of 4 squares in a box (square).
  • Watercolor gift tags – use cardstock, cut out tags. (Should be good for kids.) Randomly, or intentionally, use (perhaps weak) water-colors. (This site has you dip them.) Use a rubber stamp to put on To: and From:. Punch a hole.
  • Faux Enamelware Christmas Pie Pan – Note: This is a decoration for the wall or counter or shelf (not for actual cooking of pies).
  • Moveable paper hearts project. Video on instagram. (pinterest)
  • Luminaires- see pic. Net for a pyramid. hole-punch.  Put a tea light under it.
  • DIY Leaf Bowl
